Nature Conservation
This section aims to learn more about habitats. We also take an interest in nature conservation issues. Recently we have visited semi-improved and unimproved dry grassland, salt marsh, the intertidal areas of Les Gouliot Caves in Sark and had two bat walks: one at Petit Bot and one in a valley in St Saviours. Section members have also been involved in survey work on amphibians and reptiles in 2012.
We meet on the third Monday of every month (other than December), indoors from October to March and outdoors from April to September. Some section members also help out with nature reserve management with the Guernsey Conservation Volunteers.
