Guernsey Bat Group

The Guernsey Bat Group operates under the aegis of the Nature Conservation Section. Members are welcome on the bat walks organised by the group.

Grey long-eared bat Plecotus austriacus- Fairly common, widespread
Nathusius’ pipistrelle Pipistrellus nathusii - Rare
Brown long-eared bat Plecotus auritus - 4 records only
Kuhl’s pipistrelle Pipistrellus kuhli - 1 record only
Natterer’s bat Myotis nattereri - 1 record only

The Guernsey Bat Group owns seven bat detectors. These are used on bat walks and may be loaned to members.
