| Ornithology Section - Summer Walk & Dinner - Rocquaine to Pezeries |

Instead of our usual meeting at Candie, Ornithology Section members can meet at the car park near the Imperial Hotel at 6.30 pm for a walk to Les Pezeries, followed by dinner at 8.00 pm at the Imperial at a cost of £16.95 per person. | Open Lecture - Keeping a place for Swifts |

Edward Mayer of London Swifts will be presenting an open lecture at Candie on 8pm on Thursday 11th September on how these magnificent birds have declined owing to changes in building design, and suggesting what we can do to encourage them back. The lecture is intended for all those interested in Swifts - householders, businesses, builders, policy makers and architects. Please come along to listen to the talk, and also to learn about what is being done in Guernsey. The lecture starts at 8pm on 11th September at the Frossard Centre. |
